MLD, a rare genetic disease, occurs in 1 in 100,000 people. Symptoms and treatment methods

Today (29 Jan 2025), Dr. Thanin Wechachapinan, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Medical Services, revealed that Metachromatic Leukodystrophy (MLD) is a rare genetic disease, with an incidence of approximately 0.16-1.85 per 100,000 people. At the Queen Sirikit National Institute of Child Health, there are approximately 10-15 patients diagnosed.
